Nikole Hannah-Jones sitting on steps with her hands folded in her lapNikole Hannah-Jones is a Pulitzer Prize-winning reporter covering racial injustice for The New York Times Magazine and creator of the landmark The 1619 Project, now a Hulu original docuseries.

 

She is also the Knight Chair in Race and Journalism at Howard University and the founder of the Center for Journalism and Democracy at Howard University.

 

She is coming to speak at Towson University in Fall 2025 as part of Towson University's Inclusive Excellence Summit on Friday, November 7, 2025.
