This guide provides instruction and examples for creating citations for resources in APA Style. Examples are based on the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (APA) 6th edition. 

 Font, Spacing, & Margins

APA prefers:

  • Times New Roman,12-point font 
  • 1-inch margins
  • Double-spaced lines

Remember, the final authority for the reference format, including spacing of the references, is your professor. Check your assignment instructions for alternate requirements.
