Towson University’s campus is an exciting environment for kids with a variety of programs designed with their needs and interests in mind. Whether your children want to learn more about science or the fine arts, hone their athletic skills or bolster their reading skills, our campus provides the resources for success.

The TU Reading Clinic helps families and participants develop literacy skills for learning and enjoyment.

Welcome to the University Child Care Center (UCCC). UCCC provides an early childhood program for children from 2-4 years of age in partnership with the College of Education. We believe that learning should be child-centered, as we focus on arts, nature, and the own interests of the children.

The Check Child Care Maryland website is a resource for parents and families to use to review licensing information about a provider, including the provider’s license status, verified complaints and inspection results.

The Maryland Infants and Toddlers Program (MITP) directs a family-centered system of early intervention services for young children with developmental delays and disabilities and their families. By recognizing each family's concerns and priorities and focusing on each child's strengths and needs, the MITP assists families of children with special needs during the first four years of the child's developmental journey. Support, information, and coordinated services in community settings are what families tell us they need to enhance their ability to manage the challenges and celebrate the gifts that each child has to offer

Chat online with a tutor 2 p.m. to midnight seven days a week. Or submit a question and a tutor will answer within 24 hours. Kindergarten through college students can get help in math, science, English, social studies and more. Adults can access resources for GED and U.S. citizenship test prep, Microsoft Office skills and writing resumes and cover letters.

The Hussman Center for Adults with Autism brings together Towson University students and young adults on the autism spectrum to create a mutually rewarding learning environment. Social, educational and fitness programs support learning for adults with autism as they develop the tools needed to lead meaningful and engaged lives.

The Ombudsman’s office at the Maryland State Department of Education was established more than 20 years ago to help assist parents and other members of the public with their educational concerns. The ombudsman works directly with Maryland’s 24 Local Education Agencies (LEAs) to gather information and resolve issues.

Towson University's employee assistance program, Guidance Resources, offers someone to talk to and resources to consult whenever and wherever you need them. Your Guidance Resources benefits will give you and your dependents confidential support, resources and information for personal and work-life issues.

The FoodShare program provides weekly bags of food to address the needs of students, faculty, and staff experiencing food insecurity. Those accessing the pantry must show their OneCard before entering and complete a sign-out form before leaving. Students, faculty and staff may receive up to 10 items per week when TU is in session. Bring your own reusable bag or receive a plastic grocery bag for your items.

A Flexible Spending Account (FSA) is an account that allows you to set aside pre-tax dollars to pay for qualified healthcare or dependent day care expenses.

Regular and contingent II faculty, staff and lecturers are eligible for annual, holiday, personal and sick leave. Please review the leave summaries below for specific information based on employee classification. Subject to leave policies, eligible employees may be able to utilize other types of leave, including administrative leave and family and medical leave.

TU Lactation Rooms provide a private, secure, clean space for chestfeeding and breastfeeding. They are available to all students, faculty, staff, spouses and domestic partners at the following campus locations

Through a grant from the National Family Caregivers Support Program (NFCSP), the BCDA Caregiver Support Program serves family and informal caregivers age 18 and older taking care of Baltimore County residents over age 60, older relatives over age 55 with primary care responsibility for individuals under 18 as well as adults aged 18 to 59 with disabilities. The program offers a variety of resources to help family caregivers provide good care for their care recipients and to take better care of themselves.

The Baltimore County Department of Aging (BCDA) strengthens lives by providing services, programs and connections to resources for Baltimore County seniors and their families.
