Constantly updated site with market share charts and rankings. Particularly strong in e-business, mobile, and media industries. This particular source is free to all online, not a subscription database.

Market share is not always easy to find!

Revenue typically appears in company directories in print and online.
For private companies, assume revenue is an estimate.

Nexis Uni: Hoover's In-Depth Company Records
Step 1: Select Publication under "What are you interested in"
Step 2: Type the company name for "Search for something specific"
Step 3: Type/select Hoover's Company Records - In-Depth Records as Publication
...before searching, to locate useful background info on your company.
Nexis Uni: Company Dossier
-First, go to BUSINESS page (bottom left of of Nexis Uni homepage) > Find Company Dossier on left > click Find a Company
-Next, look up the company by name or ticker symbol

The Dossier entry on a company pulls together company financials, market data, relevant news, parents & subsidiaries, law cases & patents, from a range of sources.

Historical financials & selected ratios for public companies. Brief company information. Allows you to create custom lists according to your criteria as well as comparison reports & spreadsheets. Database access limited to 5 simultaneous users.
