This guide is intended as a starting point for your research. Many students are looking for scholarship/research published in academic journals and these databases are a good place to start. The database(s) listed are likely to yield the most relevant results.
After searching your one of your suggested keywords anywhere in one of the databases, try searching it in the SU Subject Terms field from the pull down menu to the right of the search box. You might also add the words society OR culture OR social in another search box also in the SU Subject Terms field.
You might try searching the databases together by selecting Choose Databases above the search boxes in one database, then select additional databases, for example Academic Search Ultimate and/or SocINDEX.
Consider narrowing your results by academic subject area, select Advanced Search, narrow by Item Type to Articles
and narrow by Journal Filter for Anthropology, Cultural Studies, and/or Sociology.
Find books, articles, media, government information, and other library resources all in one place. Search what Towson owns as well as resources at other USMAI Libraries.
