Start -- but Don't Finish -- with the Company Website

Consult the company's own website for:

  • mission, vision, and values statements
  • financial statements/reports (for public companies)
  • corporate social responsibility reports (not required but increasingly common among public companies)
  • press releases about company initiatives
  • other clues as to organizational culture:
    • example: images and language used in employment webpages
  • Expect to find more information on the websites of public companies (often on the Investors subsite) than on those of private companies

Be sure to complement this information from the company with other sources!

Welcome!

Use this guide as a starting point for your research on organizational culture and leadership.

Let me know if I can assist in finding the information you need!
