Finding Wall Street Journal Articles in the Cook Library Databases

The library doesn’t have a subscription to the Wall Street Journal website, however Towson students, staff & faculty do have access to WSJ articles via 2 of the library subscription databases.

From off-campus, you'll need to log in with TU NetID (first part of TU email, before the @) and email password.

Option 1: WALL STREET JOURNAL DATABASE

Go to Wall Street Journal: Current Newspapers > Search for the article title.

  • Do NOT use browser address to post/bookmark.
  • Use database options to print, save, or email (email includes a postable permalink).
  • 1-day lag time for articles appearing.
  • A little more straightforward to search; offers a "permalink" (stable link) through the email function.

Option 2: FACTIVA DATABASE (WSJ is included in this large news database)

Go to Factiva > Search for the article title.

  • Use database options to print, save, or download in RTF or PDF.
  • Do NOT use email function to save articles..
  • Do NOT use browser address to post/bookmark articles (unless articles self-launch in another window/tab).
  • Articles appear day of publication.
  • Could be more difficult to search; contact Shana Gass for article "permalinks" (stable links)
